Lancaster Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders (LAAPI) is thrilled to announce its upcoming exhibition, “Reflections of Identity and Space: the Asian Pacific Experience in America,” held at the Ware Center in Downtown Lancaster. The exhibit will open on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM, coinciding with the First Friday celebration, and will run until Friday, August 25. addition to the art exhibition, the evening will also feature a captivating performance titled “A Kaleidoscope of Lancaster’s Beauty and Sound,” to be held in Steinman Hall from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. The performance will showcase a variety of cultural expressions, including Korean Drum, Chinese Dance, Spoken Word, Martial Art Performance, and Musical Numbers. This segment promises to be a celebration of the beauty, unique perspectives, stories, and experiences brought to life through art and performance.

“Reflections of Identity and Space” showcases the incredible talent and diverse perspectives of Asian Pacific artists in America. The exhibition explores the intricate relationship between identity and space, inviting viewers to contemplate the multifaceted experiences and narratives within the Asian Pacific community.
This remarkable exhibition features artwork from Vania Hardy, Amie Bantz, Yen Elizabeth Keener, Wendy Yuen-Ting Li, Samuel Soliman, Libby Ethridge, and Suzi Fitz. Each artist brings a unique voice and artistic vision, contributing to a rich tapestry of creativity and expression.
